I helped a blind man pick up the things he dropped. I helped my neighbor with a ride to work. And I helped a friend who was having a bad day.

A lady that I met a couple of years ago had some unfortunate circumstances with her health, and some legal issues. I had not seen her at church in quite a while, and I really did not know her well, but I did have her phone number. I sometimes send her daily inspirational messages to encourage her. I thought one day to ask her if she was going to a church event, where there was an internationally known guest and singer headlining the event. I had an extra ticket, and I chose to give it to the lady because I know that she would really want to go but might not be able to afford to buy the ticket to attend. She was extremely grateful and surprised that I had just given her the ticket.

When I see people who need help I just step up and offer to do what I can. I’ve learned that if you ask if they need help, they often say no so instead I just do it.
